Assessment Based On Books Tuareg (Tuareg #1)
I think, overall, this book deserves a five. Though the ending is controversial, I think, and I personally resent it, the Tuareg warrior, Gacel, is so masterly defined, its skills and adaptation to the harsh land he lives in so compellingly described, that through him mostly the author built a book that stuck with me through decades. It's one of those books I never forgot. As for the ending, without spoiling it none, I can say that some will find it amazing, a twist of a master, and others will

Excellent!

Definitely it's a recommendable book, it lets you know and understand other culture that (maybe as happened to me) we do not even know exist, it describes perfectly their live, customs; and with that transmitted a point to reflexion about values and honor that nowadays we are missing in our lives. Obviously the narration of injustice events can disappoint you, but that also helps you to evaluate which is more important in live. Read it.

It is a very well written book that captures you and doesn't let you go till the last page! The story is flowing like sand dunes in Sahara but the ending is somehow shocking. I'd recommend this book to all of those who want to broaden the cultural borders. It shows that sometimes people who can't read or write, who don't know what is a building or a train... still are very cunning and creative in their mind. Different doesn't mean bad or stupid. Anyway, give it a try.

Incredible read. I was glued to this book, I had to keep reading to find out what happens. I don't have much to say about it, it's a simple read, a simple story, a simple idea, but complex in the mysteries of the human mind in the area of will, drive, spirit, the willpower to do what is right according to your societal traditions, regardless of whatever new fly by night ideas are floating around.Brilliant. Best book I have read in quite a while. My one issue... This version of the book,

The story for me was a 3/5. The descriptions of the desert, the tuareg culture, the experiences are crazy good. I would recommend it.

I enjoyed reading this book. The language, the vocabulary, the pictures, the philosophy, everything was interesting and close to perfect. I totally disliked the end as I thought it was not consistent with the events nor the character, and some other events that don't make sense, but overall I think it is worth reading.
