Chronicle Supposing Books Inferno (Chronicles of Nick #4)

The heat is on, and a new threat to humanity has risen…

Nick has his driver’s license and he’s not afraid to use it. But turning sixteen isn’t what he thought it would be. While other boys his age are worried about prom dates and applying for college, Nick is neck deep in enemies out to stop him from living another day. No longer sure if he can trust anyone, his only ally seems to be the one person he’s been told will ultimately kill him.

But life spent serving the undead is anything except ordinary. And those out to get him have summoned an ancient force so powerful even the gods fear it. As Nick learns to command and control the elements, the one he must master in order to combat his latest foe is the one most likely to destroy him. As the old proverb goes, fire knows nothing of mercy, and if Nick is to survive this latest round, he will have to sacrifice a part of himself. However, the best sacrifice is seldom the sanest move. Sometimes it’s the one that leaves your enemies confused, and you even more so.

And sometimes, you have to trust your enemy to save your friends. But what do you do when that enemy is you?

Write Up Epithetical Books Inferno (Chronicles of Nick #4)
Okthat was an odd ending. Had to be a dream, I hope. Now, on to the next book of the seriesI hope it picks up again. This one was really good but I am hoping for a little more out of the next books so I am as addicted to them as I was the last three. This one did finally reveal what and who Kody is though, so that was good because I have been guessing since book one. Also, the battle involving the demon amusement park and his parents was really awesome to read. My quick and simple overall:

Well.Well.If my previous reviews haven't made it clear enough that I can fangirl like a nut when I like a series, let me refresh your memory. I really have enjoyed the first three Chronicles of Nick books. I enjoyed the characters, the themes, the writing, the fact that there isn't swearing. I liked the weirdness and creativity of it. I found Nick way to hormonal but I'd go so far as to say that has been one of my biggest complaints in the series.Funny, that plays a smaller role in my irritation

I like few YA series. Harry Potter, Carl Hiaasen's & Kenyon's. There was teenage angst, but it was subdued in the last half of the book. Kenyon knows how to trap the reader in her world and make us want to be there even with the danger. Nick is growing up and that could cause the world to end. Thank God for his Mother and her love. That is the hope for mankind. I love whenever Ash makes an appearance and I loved his conversation with Nick. He revealed much. There were surprises such as Simi's

"Tomorrow, my Cajun. Itll be a whole new day". El epĂlogo.Necesito el prĂ³ximo libro ya.

I was thisclose to dropping out on this series. I'm not usually a YA reader, but I make a few exceptions with authors whose adult series I enjoy. Reading the Nick books seemed like a no-brainer since it is so intimately entwined with Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter books. But the early installments were just too young for me. The characters, their thoughts, the dialogue, even the way they were treated by the adults seemed even younger than their chronological ages. It alienated me. It felt like

Actual rating - 2.5The characters in this are really starting to annoy me now. This was another slow and long read, and the majority of it dragged for me unfortunately.

More of the same occurs in this installment of the series. Nick is still being influenced by outside supernaturals to make decisions in the hopes that he will turn into his evil self. There are a couple of new players, but the story is essentially the same......which leads me to the reduced rating. While I understand that the premise of this series is that Nick is destined to be extremely powerful and his decisions will lead him to either use that power for good or for evil, and thus there are
