Ilustration In Favor Of Books Anne McCaffrey's Dragonflight (Anne McCaffrey's Dragonflight #3)

Anne McCaffrey's beloved science fantasy epic becomes a fully-painted graphic novel. Join Lessa, sole remnant of a noble house, as she comes of age and dares to reclaim her birthright--and battles to save Pern from the deadly silver threadfall that threatens devastation of the planet.

The Dragonriders, too long aground, take proudly to the skies, reborn through the hope and love of F'lar and Lessa--but regaining the lost support and faith of the people of Pern may prove more challenging than the Thread's imminent fall.

In the conclusion to the spellbinding story of the Dragonriders of Pern, Lessa and golden Ramoth seek the answer to the oldest riddle, the disappearance of the Weyrs, to conquer the greatest danger Pern has ever known.

Critique Out Of Books Anne McCaffrey's Dragonflight (Anne McCaffrey's Dragonflight #3)

Book three...loving this series. The series is not published in chronological order, so I will have to reread! The Dragons of Pern is a great read for all ages. The evolution of the dragons, their riders, and the other colonists portray a fantastical story of colonizing another planet, so far from earth, that there is no going back. They are abandoned.

read the whole series 3 times that is how much I loved this series of books

I'm enjoying this series, a good quick read. I'm also happy that I could let my kids read this, so far. It is hard to find a good clean book. There is reference to the fact that there is sexual involvement between people, but it isn't what I would call "dirty" talk, and you don't have to read the details. I'm constantly on guard for this, as I also try to find books for my young adults to read.I also find it interesting that I can't figure out the order of the books in the series though, but it

I am really torn about how to rate this book. It is a thrilling adventure and the premise is wonderful but rereading as an adult I see so many incidents of violence against woman- particularly from the main characters partner I find it hard to recommend to younger readers. We are supposed to cheer this paring with a man who taunts, shakes and has non consensual sex with Lessa. I know this book is a product of its time but I found those parts hard to swallow.

This was my favorite book as a pre-teen. No idea how it stands up.
