Description During Books About a Girl (A Girl #1)

Tess Brookes has always been a Girl with a Plan. But when the Plan goes belly up, she’s forced to reconsider.

After accidently answering her flatmate Vanessa’s phone, she decides that since being Tess isn’t going so well, she might try being Vanessa. With nothing left to lose, she accepts Vanessa’s photography assignment to Hawaii – she used to be an amateur snapper, how hard can it be? Right?

But Tess is soon in big trouble. And the gorgeous journalist on the shoot with her, who is making it very clear he’d like to get into her pants, is an egotistical monster. Far from home and in someone else’s shoes, Tess must decide whether to fight on through, or ‘fess up and run…

Article Of Books About a Girl (A Girl #1)
Loved! This book was hilarious. Snort laughing at 5am. Best way to start a day let me tell you. Mare~Slitsread

I loved this one- the first Lindsey Kelk book I've tried. Wouldn't we all love to have a week in someone else's shoes- particularly if that's happening in Hawaii. I will definately look out for more books by Lindsey.

Ill admit I groaned when this one was announced for my book club. I thought I was above reading chick litBritish chick lit, at thatin my ripe old age. But obviously, I have forgotten how much fun it is!Its pretty much the story of any up-and-coming girl in the city. Girl has entry-level advertising job, where she is desperate to advance. Girl is secretly in love with her best guy friend for going on ten years. Girl works her fingers to the bone with ad agency only to be made redundant & let

Loved this so much. Another stellar story by Lindsey!

Lets talk about chick lit. There are certain tropes and character archetypes that populate chick lit, as with all literature: The plucky relatable heroine. The best friend (who can be fat, married, or desperately single). The Rival who must be a whore because she has a lot of sex. The nice guy love interest. The asshole with a heart of gold that only the heroine can uncover. I really dont expect a lot from these books, or their characters, or their plotlinesnot that Im going in thinking that they

I wish I was better at writing reviews as I don't know how to write a good enough review to do this book justice! I absolutely loved it. I think I enjoyed it more than any of the 'I Heart' books and I think Lindsey Kelk may now be my favourite chick lit author. This was probably the most readable book I have read this year, if that's the right word to use. It was just a joy to read from start to finish and I did not want it to end. Kelk certainly has a way with words. Some of the descriptions

what...did I just read. This book was terrible. It's a shame because I liked the idea but how it was written was just...arhhggg. It's slow for a start, taking over 100 pages to get into her actually going to this trip and by this point, I already hate the main character aswell as all the other characters, so I don't give two shits on what's going on anyway. The plane could crash and I wouldn't a give a fuck. She's annoying, whiny, dramatic....just everything you don't want in a main character.
