I actually really enjoyed this. It reminded me of something I might have picked up when I was young and super into fantasy, but this was so well written it entertained me now. This is really a book for anyone- it's very clean and the story line is great. I'll definitely be picking up the sequel.

I won this book on a Goodreads First-Reads Giveaway. I enjoyed this book very much. It was really fast paced - but nicely paced as well. The storyline was good. I really liked the main character - Callista. I am definitely looking forward to the sequel and finding out how everything wraps up. My one complaint would be the font that was used - it was too small and a little too fancy for long periods of reading. Other than that it was a wonderful book.

***USA Today Bestselling Author***As the author of the best-selling Shelby Nichols Adventure Series, Colleen is often asked if Shelby Nichols is her alter-ego. Definitely, she says. Shelby is the epitome of everything I wish I dared to be. Known for her laugh since she was a kid, Colleen has always tried to find the humor in every situation and continues to enjoy writing about Shelbys adventures.

It had a good plot, but the writing was pretty uneven.

Flame of Destiny is a terrific read! I loved reading this book! It is an epic fantasy novel about a young woman, Callista, who wants revenge on the wizard who brutally killed her family. She joins the Elite Guard hoping it will be a means to an end, only to discover that this group of soldiers is less than trustworthy. When her first assignment goes horribly wrong, she is saved by Justin a ships captain, whose destiny becomes entwined with her own. It is up to them to rid the city of a horrible

This book caught my interest from the very beginning and didn't let up. Callista is an amazing young woman. She is strong and can take care of herself, but at the same time, there is a vulnerability about her that makes her intriguing and sympathetic. Her family was murdered, and she is out to find justice. She finds a deep magic inside her which helps her become a swordmaster and sets her apart from the rest of the cadets, thereby allowing her into the ranks of the Elite Guard. On her first
