Spoilers will probably follow...3,5 starsOnce again I find myself in a dilemma! I don't know whether I liked the book or not. There were some black spots but the end sort of made up for most of them in my opinion but not all. What I mean is...The heroine of the book was -her words not mine, but sadly true- unexciting. Nicola is a 23 year old girl who is afraid to live. I totally understand that the condition of her heart made it impossible for her to have excitment in her life safely but honestly

You speak what you believe, and you believe youre doomed. If theres one thing Ive learned throughout the years, its that what you believe is the impetus for your entire life.Koldo Koldo is a an angel who lost his wings in a very brutal way. You've lost what you didnt deserve. As a kid he was violated by both his mother and his father.I never understood why his mother was so callous towards him until the last chapter . On the other hand I never expected a Nefas like his father to show any form of

INCREDIBLE! I <3 Koldo!!BEAUTY AWAKENED, the 2nd installment of Gena Showalter's Angels of the Dark series is finally here and it was so worth the wait! The book starts off with a young Koldo at the age of 7 years old. This was by far the most heartbreaking chapter I have ever read. A little boy starved for his mother's attention and love and getting nothing but hatred and abuse in return. No matter what he did to please her, she hated him and punished him more. We finally learn what happened

Awesome Read!Koldos story is the perfect tortured soul to get his happy ever after ending. Between the torturous past Koldo went through between the evil acts from his own mother Cornelia (a sent one) and father Nox (Nefas demon) it is no wonder he was lusting after revenge.I thought Nicola Lane was the perfect mate for Koldo because of the important lessons learned from both of their circumstances. Yes Nicola was sick as was her sister who eventually does die but the lesson of Nicola situation

This review was originally posted on Addicted To RomanceBeauty Awakened is book two in the "Angels of the Dark" series and I am in love with this story. Gena Showalter is a queen in writing such riveting paranormal romance novels, and Beauty Awakened is no different. There was something so much more tangible about this book that just gravitated towards this reader. I deeply loved the development of this series so far and for those who are solid fans of the "Lords of the Underworld" series than

First time book review due to how disappointed I am in this author's new direction. Bought this book based on her older books and I deeply regret it. The storyline was overtaken by her relentless, preachy message of faith healing. Found it to be very obnoxious and atypical of her previous books. Guess she's recently found Jesus and while I'm happy for her newfound religious beliefs, I don't care to be hammered over the head with them. The book read more as a YA Christian novel, not what I was

4.5 starsKoldo!!!! <3 This was way better than I thought it would be. What a beautiful triumphant story! I could not put this down for the life of me. Koldo stole my heart and quite easily I must say. <3 Very complex tormented character who had a difficult life as a child. Because of his abusive childhood he always thought he was undeserving of anything good or kind but always ached to want those who were supposed to love him to love him in return. When you have this for a mother....
