Explanation In Pursuance Of Books Tangled Threads (Elemental Assassin #4)
I’d rather face a dozen lethal assassins any night than deal with something as tricky, convoluted, and fragile as my feelings. But here I am. Gin Blanco, the semi-retired assassin known as the Spider. Hovering outside sexy businessman Owen Grayson’s front door like a nervous teenage girl. One thing I like about Owen: he doesn’t shy away from my past—or my present. And right now I have a bull’s-eye on my forehead.
Cold-blooded Fire elemental Mab Monroe has hired one of the smartest assassins in the business to trap me. Elektra LaFleur is skilled and efficient, with deadly electrical elemental magic as potent as my own Ice and Stone powers. Which means there’s a fifty-fifty chance one of us won’t survive this battle. I intend to kill LaFleur—or die trying—because Mab wants the assassin to take out my baby sister, Detective Bria Coolidge, too.
The only problem is, Bria has no idea I’m her long-lost sibling . . . or that I’m the murderer she’s been chasing through Ashland for weeks. And what Bria doesn’t know just might get us both dead. . . .

*SPOILERS* This book was very fragmented compared to the others in the series. The last quarter of the book finally comes to life, but for me, the repetition was so overdone that the book never really took off. I saw it through to the end, but that had more to do with the merit of the previous books than this one. I admit to liking where she went with some of the relationships in the book but unfortunately, that was it. The main strength of this series has been the cool elemental powers JETangled Threads is book four in the Elemental Assassin series by Jennifer Estep. This one takes place a few short weeks after the conclusion of the previous story. Gin has declared war on Mab who is a the fire elemental that runs southern metropolis of Ashland and all around bad lady. Mab is wealthy, powerful, and strong in her magic and so, no one can stand up to her; except maybe Gin.In Tangled Threads, Mab sends an assassin to kill the Spider and Gin has to eliminate the threat; before it
Actual rating: 2 ½ going on 3Ok, the recaps and repetitions have to stop or Ill just give up on this series. Im actually beginning to doubt whether someone edits these books. The repetitions were a minor quibble in book 2, got quite annoying in book 3 but the whole thing becomes downright ridiculous in Tangled Threads. So many phrases, names and events are repeatedly mentioned it felt like reading the same chapter (yes, chapter, not book) over and over again. Yes, we got this: Gin is the
3.5 Stars. I'm still enjoying the series, though not a lot happened in this book. I love the characters and admire Gin's loyalty and love for her friends and sister. So pleased that she is finally opening up more and letting go of her insecurities.
I really love this series. It's just pure, unadulterated fun. Can't wait for the battle that's building between Gin and her nemesis. Gonna be EXPLOSIVE.
Not quite as good as its predecessors Coming off the high from Venom, I had a lot of high hopes for Tangled Threads, Book 4 of the Elemental Assassin series. Unfortunately, it comes up a little short for me.Unlike the prior novels, where it kicks off with high action, this book definitely has a slower pace. After taking care of Elliott Slater, Gin has sent Mab Monroe a message (as the Spider of course), and Mab's listening. She recruits another assassin, a damn good assassin, to come in and
I loved the story but not the book. I am sick and tired of the repetitions. This actual story probably takes about 54% everything else is the author telling us everything that had happened in the previous book. I mentioned it in my previous books but this one takes the cake . I really hope I don't have to deal with this all through this series.
