Weigh Up Containing Books Rivers Never Fill The Sea
This was an absorbing read. The descriptions of nature are almost poetic and I loved every character. I would've liked to know more about some of the character's individual lives. I wanted to know more about why Ty Brennan ended up such a mean person? What his back story was? And Kate's parents could have a story all of their own! But at 400 pages I think the author did a great job of giving the reader just enough. Overall, a beautifully written novel that just flows so easily.

Every page is a treasure in this book. Exquisitely written! Below is just one of my favorite quotes:"Like the sun when it slowly emerges from sleep, first softly then in bursts over the mountains as it filters between the trees, the recollections sieved through her mind ultimately surrendering to a steady stream of memories. She remembered how the sunlight shone a glistening gold back then, and the sea lay deep and green and she remembered the sounds of the harbor. "Great characters with an

I loved this book from beginning to end! The plot details the lives of characters Kate Mason, Flynn Brennan and many other residents in the small town of Woodrose in the late 1940's. The story is filled with rich in-depth characters I truly cared about and the town by the sea is described so perfectly you feel like you're there - you can practically smell the ocean and feel the breezes! It's truly a beautiful book. I don't want to spoil it for the readers so I won't get into any plot details,

Where to start...I loved reading this book and I'll probably read it again and again. It wasn't just a fun read, it was also very beautifully written. The novel begins with the history of a seaside town's origin and the people that come to populate the city. I won't give out spoilers but it concentrates mostly on two families and their lives as they start connecting with each other. It has so much going on that I just can't put it down here. Take my word for it, if you like to read books that

Loved this book. It was a refreshingly great read!

I had high hopes for this novel since I love novels set in this time period and I was so happy that it did not disappoint me. It is the best read so far this year and I'll probably read it a couple times more (I don't usually read books more than once) because it was just so enjoyable to read and experience. The author carves out a brilliant story line with amazing characters and twists throughout the book. Highly recommended!
