The Prince of Thieves (Tales of Robin Hood #1)
In this book, Dumas tells the story of Robin Hood's youth: how he is delivered by an unknown man to be raised by poor but honest foresters, his great skill as an archer, how he comes into conflict with the Baron [sic] of Nottingham, how he meets Friar Tuck, the Maid Marian, Little John, Will Scarlett, and others, how he is declared an outlaw by the King, and decamps, with his followers, into Sherwood Forest to wage war against the Baron.
This book is written Alexandre Dumas this book has a lot of adventure and drama. My favorite part was when he tried to show the guy that he was a good archer and he hit the dear dead center in the target and the guy was surprised this book is GREAT!!!.
Le Prince des Voleurs = Robin Hood, The Prince of Thieves, Alexandre DumasThe Prince of Thieves is a 1948 film nominally inspired by Alexandre Dumas' 1872 novel. After fighting in the Crusades alongside King Richard I of England, Sir Allan Claire is returning home to marry his betrothed Lady Christabel. Silly me. I read this 6 months ago and only now do I realize that this was so good because it was written by Alexandre Dumas. Of course! It is his style! It was an interesting Robin Hood and I grew to like the characters very much, and there was a wonderful ending.I think I would recommend all books by him based on Count of Monte Cristo, this, and Man in the Iron Mask. Next up: 3 Musketeers. I believe I read it when I was ten and disliked it.
Wow, this was written in 1863 and it's still a fresh take on the Robin Hood legend! You'll find Dumas' standard and excellent rakish heroes, furious villains, plot twists, secrets, improbable coincidences, and enough love triangles to make an icosahedron. I especially enjoyed how Robin and the other characters we all know and love (Marian, Little John, Friar Tuck, Alan-a-Dale, Will Scarlet, Guy, and Nottingham) have been fitted with unique backgrounds and connections. Dumas reveals them piece by
I LOVED Robin Hood and everything I could find about his legend when I was a child. Although this book was made into several movies (and most notably was the origin material for Errol Flynn's Robin Hood,) it does stray pretty far from the original material concerning Hood's legend.

Embora nĂ£o seja uma obra prima de Dumas ela Ă© boa para passar o tempo....I read this book when I was 17. I thought I had a stone heart, but I cried when Maid Marian dies, and I cried even more when Robin Hood misses Marian and dies too. This book has marked my life.Although it'sThis book is written Alexandre Dumas this book has a lot of adventure and drama.
